Port City Chapter of The Links, Incorporated., charted on May 16, 1987, is one of nine chapters located in the Houston Metropolitan Area. The organization implements its programs with the purpose of fostering cultural appreciation through the arts, developing richer inter-group relations and helping women who participate understand and accept their social and civic responsibilities. The Links, Incorporated is a not-for-profit corporation committed to ensuring the cultural and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

President's Welcome

Greetings from the Port City (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.

Our chapter was established on May 16, 1987 in Houston, TX. We are 55 members strong committed to enriching, transforming and sustaining the lives of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry in the Houston Metropolitan area.

"Friendship, Service, Impact."

The Links, Incorporated is an international non-profit corporation established in 1946 in Philadelphia, PA. It has a membership of over 15,000 professional women of color in 289 chapters located in 42 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and the United Kingdom. It is one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women built on a foundation of friendship and service.

Our community partners play a major role in making it possible for us to do all that we do. We value our continuing partner and donor relationships with the corporations, businesses, universities and schools which have assisted us in the service to our communities year after year.
