Port City Links Programs
Port City’s signature program focus is Linked to a Healthy Lifestyle and Childhood Obesity Prevention and serves to widen the Chapter’s influence as a catalyst for bringing together community partners, parents, school officials/teachers, and children to encourage awareness of and activities to increase healthy lifestyle choices and idle time for elementary school-aged children. Port City’s programming emphasis is to increase physical activity and to help children make healthier food and activity choices. We do this through collaborations with community engagement and school partnership development.

Healthy Lifestyle and Childhood Obesity Prevention
The Healthy Lifestyle and Childhood Obesity Prevention programs are being implemented at the MacGregor Elementary School, Gregg Elementary School, and the Codwell Elementary School. At each school we host activities including physical and educational-themed activities.

Healthy Fun Fair (STEM)
We annually co-host a healthy fun fair themed with nutrition and physical activity and seek to introduce children to science, math, engineering and technology (STEM).
